The City of North Bend is seeking a Temporary Parks Maintenance Worker to help maintain and enhance the beauty and functionality of its public parks and recreational spaces. This hands-on role involves various tasks, including landscaping, grounds keeping, janitorial duties, and basic building maintenance. Workers will operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to care for turf, ornamental plants, and natural areas. The position offers a great opportunity to work outdoors, contribute to the community, and be part of a team dedicated to keeping North Bend’s parks clean, safe, and welcoming.

Candidates should be comfortable using mechanical tools and equipment and capable of performing physical labor in various weather conditions. This temporary position pays approximately $18 per hour and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently and take pride in maintaining public spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen (including THC).
• Previous experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Job Duties

• Regularly work outside in all weather conditions.
• Mow, rake, cut grass, and edge the perimeter.
• Clear brush and trim back vegetation.
• Basic landscaping duties such as pulling weeds.
• Operate and maintain small engine machinery.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Rate of Pay

• $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
